OpenStreetMap Foundations for Syria: From First Edit to Safe, Responsible Contribution

This self-paced course introduces beginners to OpenStreetMap (OSM) and essential mapping tools used in humanitarian and community contexts in Syria. Learners will understand how open mapping works, how to edit safely using iD Editor and MapSwipe, and how to avoid harmful or sensitive mapping. By the end of the course, participants can make simple, accurate, and responsible contributions that support real-world decision-making without putting people at risk.
